Junior crafter rules and regulations

Please READ them ALL: no particular order

2026 Rules and Regulations.

1.      All applications must give the name of the artisan and be between the age of 8 to 16.

2.      All goods must be made by the artist or under his/her direct supervision. Priority is given to Cape Cod and Massachusetts artists. Manufactured or import items will not be allowed.

3.      The Harwich Cranberry Festival (HCF) reserves the right to require that goods that are not in compliance with the rules or as represented in the application be removed from the show. Those not complying will be asked to leave without refund.

4.      These are Rain or Shine events, please be prepared. The HCF officers have the right to cancel the show “in the event of an act of God or other unavoidable circumstance or at the direction of public safety officials.” The right to cancel will continue during the show.  There will be NO REFUNDS.

5.      Applicants assume all responsibility of risk for any loss connected to the reservation and/or use of space at any show organized by the HCF. Organizers of HCF shows shall in no way be liable to the applicant, or persons the applicant my employ, for damage to property or any other injury.

6.      Applicants agree to indemnify and hold HCF and its agents, officers and volunteers harmless for any injury to person or property, including loss of life associated with or arising from the applicant’s participation in any of the shows sponsored by HCF and related activities. Applicants shall indemnify and hold HCF organizers, officers and Volunteers harmless and shall pay damages, costs and expenses and reasonable attorney’s fees that may be incurred or paid by HCF in connection with any litigation arising from this applicant’s participation in HCF sponsored shows.

7.      Junior applicants ages 8 to 12, must have an adult present during show hours.

8.      The fee covers rental of the space, 10’ x 10’, a table with 2 chairs and security overnight on Friday and Saturday. Water and electricity are available for incidental use but not at your booth.

9.      No food products are allowed unless all Board of Health requirements and permitting has been secured.  Town of Harwich Board of Health 508-430-7509 or apply on-line at Harwich-ma.gov for a permit for a Food Event.

10.   Vehicles must be unloaded and moved to designated parking BEFORE you set up.  You must pack up on Saturday before you bring your vehicle to the park.  This makes for easier set up and breakdown. Parking is limited. You will not be invited back if this rule is not followed.

11.   When applying please submit 3 photos or website address. Crafters who have done two or more recent shows do not need pictures.

12.    No applications will be accepted without payment. Full payment is required to assure a space.

13.   During and after the event you are expected to clean up after yourselves. Trash dumpsters will be provided.

14.   The festival puts a great deal of stock in cooperation; we expect this of you also. It makes for a better event

15.   We are all volunteers and will help you unload and deliver food to you ONLY if we have enough

volunteers.  All vendors are responsible for the set-up and take down of their booths. While we have volunteers, we cannot guarantee assistance to everyone, so if you need help with set up or take down, outside arrangements are recommended. We will have a youth group helping with unloading and loading. 

16.   NO PICTURE TAKING OF OTHER CRAFTERS WORK
